Extensions for Joomla! 5.x • ctivating the cron in Acymailling

thank you this is quite a long email if you could read it all that would be great many thanks

I got this message from my newsletter distributor because I've moved the component to my new website and it only seems to be working intermittently.

Here's a copy of his message I have no understanding of what he's saying and wondering if you can help me with this -
"Hi,

you can use your own server to trigger a cron job URL

Define a cron job with something like this using wget command

Joomla
wget --no-check-certificate -O /dev/null "https://YOUR_DOMAIN/index.php?option=com_acym&ctrl=cron&task=cron" > /dev/null 2>&1
or something like this using curl command

Joomla
curl -s "https://YOUR_DOMAIN/index.php?option=com_acym&ctrl=cron&task=cron" > /dev/null 2>&1

That is a proper way of triggering AcyMailing cron job URL"


Here is a copy of the Cron and it seems to have the same URL as he is described –

Important information
In order to have your CRON process working, you may need to whitelist our IP. The IP address to whitelist is 178.23.155.178



And when I press it which I have done loads of times now I get messages like this –

AcyMailing Triggered at 04 January 2025 16:25
The system won't be triggered before 04 January 2025 16:30

I have a newsletter which is meant to be being sent out at 50 emails every 15 min but it does not send them unless I press the cron so I am ending up having to press the cron every 15 min.


If any can let me know what I am meant to be doing I would be happy to know.
